Describe your style

The Curvy Rebel's style is glamorous with a slight edge.

Who is your style crush?

Nadia Aboulhosn is a plus size model/ blogger/ and designer…
I’ve been following her forever, I just love her attitude towards
life in general…
But she kills it daily when it comes to style. It’s because of her, that
I am addicted to body suits.

What are you looking forward to this year?

I love living in New York, but I’m so excited to start taking
The Curvy Rebel out of the city and exploring other areas…
I have a few trips planned this year!

I’m also excited for the launch of my website...
I’m going to be introducing some really awesome
material throughout this next year, so stay tuned!!

In your opinion, what do you think is the most common misconception about plus size women?

Definitely that a plus size woman can’t be happy and content with
her body. I personally feel that bigger women are portrayed in the
media as self-conscious or always trying to lose weight…
like the thinner you are, the happier you’ll be.
I do what I do because I want women to see that I am confident,
I am sexy, I am happy, and I am healthy at a size 16/18…
and it’s totally ok for you to be too.

What advice do you have for girls struggling with self-image issues?

When I was younger I was very self-conscious. I was different than
all of the other girls and if I opened a magazine or turned on the TV
there wasn’t anyone that looked like me. Eventually when I was
around the age of 20, I made the personal decision to stop hating
myself and my body. It was then when I started my journey of self-love.

My advice to other women is to really take the time to learn who you
are on the inside. Then take the time to learn who you are on the outside.
Then love them both unconditionally…
